Yang sun Carpenter, 52, of Seabeck, WA, died peacefully on September 13, 2017 at her family home in Seabeck, WA following a brave and resolute 42 month battle with cancer. She was born on February 8, 1965 in Seoul, Korea to the late Bong Chun and Armsun Park.


Yang sun was devoted to her family and dedicated her life to caring for them. She was a giving person, often thinking of others before herself and often surprising neighbors, friends, and her husband's coworkers with gifts, flowers, cards, and food. She had an...

Yang sun Carpenter, 52, of Seabeck, WA, died peacefully on September 13, 2017 at her family home in Seabeck, WA following a brave and resolute 42 month battle with cancer. She was born on February 8, 1965 in Seoul, Korea to the late Bong Chun and Armsun Park.


Yang sun was devoted to her family and dedicated her life to caring for them. She was a giving person, often thinking of others before herself and often surprising neighbors, friends, and her husband's coworkers with gifts, flowers, cards, and food. She had an unrelenting zest for life and improving the world around her.


Yang sun was an avid runner and a certified floral designer and wedding planner. She managed the Offutt AFB Officers Club Dining room where she met her loving husband in 1996. She married the love of her life, CAPT Dennis Carpenter, USN (ret) on June 22, 1997 at Offutt AFB, Nebraska and is survived by her husband and her sons, George Covington Jr., Drew Nolan Carpenter, and Derek Alan Carpenter; her brother Whan Sik Park, and sisters Kyong Eun Park and Chong Suk Park in Seoul, Korea and eldest sister Chun Chong Christenson in Laport, Indiana and In Sun Jambori, in Las Vegas, Nevada.


Yang sun was a member of the Bremerton Korean Presbyterian Church in Bremerton, WA.
