As a child growing up in the Edmonds/Seattle area, her entire family moved to San Mateo, CA where they lived for six years before moving to Reno, NV where Liz spent the next twenty years. She met her husband, John Kennedy, there, where they raised their two lovely daughters, Shaina and Courtney. Liz was also blessed with three other wonderful children, Ryan, Ben, and Mallory. After her marriage ended, Liz returned to Seattle with her five children, where she met her long time companion and love, Tim Heinicke, who tenderly cared for her until her passing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ellie Anderson Mckay, her infant daughter, Laurel, and her nephew David Lewis, and grandson Noah Basile. Surviving her, are her siblings, Kurt and Eric (Donna) McKay, Sandra Mendez, and Betsy (Mike) Diedrick, daughters, Ryan Mckay, Shaina and Courtney Kennedy, Mallory (Ralph) Hunter, and son Ben Mckay, five grandchildren, numerous nephews and nieces, and many great nephews and nieces.

Colette (Liz) was an extremely generous person always willing to give anyone a helping hand. She will be remembered for her beautiful jewelry she created, her wonderful smile and laugh, her hilarious sense of humor, and the loving mother she was. We will miss you, Mom!

Services will be held on Thurs, May 25 at Our Lady of the Sea Catholic Church, Bremerton. Rosary at 12:30, Memorial Service at 1.
